Consultation

We look at your skin and goals, check for fish or seafood allergies and decide whether Rejuran fits best on its own or with microneedling.

Skin prep

Your skin is cleansed. For the microneedling add-on, numbing cream goes on first and your microneedling session is performed as usual.

Rejuran Healing Essence

The essence is applied and gently worked into the skin. With microneedling, it goes on right after the session, while the micro-channels are open.

Aftercare

Keep your skin clean, hydrated and out of the sun as directed. On its own there is little to no downtime; with microneedling, expect 24 to 72 hours of redness.

What is Rejuran Healing Essence?
Rejuran Healing Essence is a professional topical serum from Rejuran, the Korean skin-care line made by PharmaResearch. Is Rejuran really made from salmon DNA?
Yes. PDRN is purified from salmon DNA, which is why Rejuran treatments are often called salmon DNA facials. Because of that origin, tell us about any fish or seafood allergy at your consultation; if you have one, we will recommend a different treatment.
Is this the same as the Rejuran injections popular in Korea?
No. In Korea, Rejuran is best known for Rejuran Healer, an injectable skin booster. Rejuran Healing Essence is a topical serum from the same family: we apply it to the skin, on its own or with microneedling, rather than injecting it.
Why add Rejuran to microneedling?
Microneedling creates thousands of tiny channels in the skin. Applied immediately after the session, while those channels are open, Rejuran Healing Essence absorbs far better than it would on intact skin, adding hydration and soothing support while your skin recovers. It is the most common way our clients book Rejuran, and it can be added to any session of a microneedling series.
Can I get Rejuran without microneedling?
Yes. Rejuran can be booked on its own as a salmon DNA facial, for clients who want the hydrating, skin-calming benefits without a microneedling session. On its own there is little to no downtime.
What results can I expect from Rejuran?
Many clients notice skin that feels more hydrated and looks calmer and more radiant after their first sessions. With microneedling, texture, fine lines and scars improve gradually over the series as your skin renews. Results vary with your skin and your plan, and daily sunscreen helps protect them.
Is there any downtime after Rejuran?
On its own, little to none: most clients go straight back to their day. With microneedling, expect the usual 24 to 72 hours of redness and mild swelling, and avoid makeup, sun and strenuous exercise for as long as your provider advises.
Who should not get Rejuran?
Rejuran is not recommended if you have a fish or seafood allergy, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection or open wounds in the treatment area. Microneedling has its own precautions, and we confirm candidacy for both at your consultation.
