How long does a CoolSculpting Elite session take?
About 35 minutes per area. Elite’s dual applicators let us treat two areas at the same time, and multiple areas can be treated in a single appointment, which makes it easy to fit into a lunch break.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the areas you want to treat and how much fat is present. Many areas respond to a single session; others benefit from a second session 4 to 6 weeks later. Your specialist maps this out at your consultation, and our special applies to packages of 8 or more sessions.
When will I see results?
Results are not immediate, because your body clears the treated fat cells gradually through the lymphatic system. Changes typically begin at 3 weeks, the most noticeable results appear at 1 to 3 months, and full results arrive by about 6 months.
Does CoolSculpting hurt?
You will feel intense cold and a pulling or tugging sensation for the first several minutes, then the area goes numb. Most clients read, work on a laptop or nap during treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or numbness can follow and resolve on their own within days to a few weeks.
Is CoolSculpting a weight-loss treatment?
No. CoolSculpting reduces localized, pinchable fat in the areas we treat; it is for sculpting, not for significant weight loss. If overall weight is your goal, our physician-supervised weight-loss program with semaglutide or tirzepatide is the better starting point, and the two treatments can be combined once your weight has stabilized.
Who is a good candidate for CoolSculpting Elite?
Adults near their goal weight who have stubborn pockets of fat that resist diet and exercise. It is not recommended during pregnancy or for people with cold-related conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. A consultation confirms candidacy.
Are the results permanent?
Treated fat cells are eliminated and do not return. The fat cells that remain can still enlarge with significant weight gain, so maintaining a stable weight preserves your results.
